MYMOTO REWARDS
I design scalable UX and UI for complex, enterprise environments, with experience across organisations such as South32, the Rottnest Island, and national automotive networks. My work spans end-to-end product design and scalable design systems, including design systems supporting 50+ car dealerships across Australia, balancing usability, consistency, and brand flexibility at scale.
I hold a degree in Digital Design with a minor in Graphic Design, building a strong foundation across visual communication, interaction design, and design principles. I’ve further refined my UX and UI skills through ongoing professional development, including courses with the Interaction Design Foundation and Figma Academy 2.0, allowing me to stay current with best practices in product thinking, design systems, and modern UI workflows.
I’ve been recognised for excellence in digital and interaction design, including the 2021 Digital Experience & Interaction Design Industry Award from Curtin University and EQU, awarded as top of class and selected by an industry panel. More recently, my work contributed to the 2023 Australian Web Awards ‘Best Government Website’ win for the Rottnest Island website, recognising excellence in large-scale public sector digital experiences.
Hey, I'm Mike!
I'm a UX/UI Designer based in Perth, Western Australia, specialising in scalable digital experiences for complex and enterprise environments. I’ve worked across large organisations including South32 and the Rottnest Island Authority, as well as national automotive networks, designing systems and interfaces that balance usability, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
My background in digital and graphic design, combined with ongoing professional development through the Interaction Design Foundation and Figma Academy, has shaped a strong foundation in both product thinking and visual execution. Beyond design, running my own business and managing clients day-to-day has given me a strong commercial lens, grounding my work in real-world constraints and outcomes. I’ve also spent time learning about disabilities and impairments, which informs a deeply inclusive approach to accessibility-led design. I aim to create digital products that scale, endure, and deliver meaningful value to users.
Fun fact: When I'm not telling a story through design, I'm telling a story through Dungeons & Dragons as a Dungeon Master!
I start by understanding the problem before designing the solution. Through research, workshops, and analysis, I align business goals with real user needs to create a clear, actionable direction. This ensures every design decision is purposeful and grounded in insight.

I design intuitive, accessible experiences that balance usability with visual clarity. From information architecture and user flows to high-fidelity interfaces and prototypes, I focus on creating products that feel effortless to use and visually refined.

I work closely with developers to ensure designs are practical, scalable, and built as intended. By thinking in systems and components, I help bridge the gap between design and implementation, resulting in smoother handoffs and higher-quality outcomes.

Design doesn’t stop at launch. I continuously test, measure, and refine experiences using real user feedback and data to improve usability and performance over time. This iterative approach helps products evolve and deliver measurable results.
